First let me apologise because im new to this and if im doing this wrong then feel free to do what needs to be done.

A few concerns about the latest release of freeshop that i have is that is becoming extreamly slow. What do i mean by slow? Boot speed takes 27 seconds longer than vanilla 2.2.0 freeshop and 11 seconds more than 3.1.2. My boot times were as follow as this progressed. 2.2.0 (9s), 3.1.2 (24s) and 3.1.3 (36s) to boot the whole thing wothout it looking for update or cache. Also tab changing is a bit laggy conpared to vanilla original freeshop, does not feel smooth at all. And lastly, no options to disable the memory storage tab and search tab on installed games. Is the app performance gonna befome slower on future updates or are there plans to make this smoother or quicker? Will we have the option to disable what we dont want in the future?

That's pretty much all for now and sorry if this came out in the wrong way. I would love to continue using the latest things from freeshop but is becoming progressively slower and not smooth.

Yep, the old 3DS are a lot less powerful, and this is why the app is at ~20 fps on old 3DS. One good news is that I don't think that something time-eating will be added at startup (the time-eaters that was added were in fact for the sleep download functionality). But a boot time of 9s for 2.2.0 is really strange, it should be around 20s. Try to reset freeShop by deleting sdmc:/3ds/data/freeShop, and set it up again, maybe it will help you.

Oh so you're saying that it could be quicker on a n3ds/smoother? And probably my 2.2.0 test was done wrong or confused it but it was quicker thats for sure.

Sorry for the wait i did what you told me and the boot is still 36s+ and i think what makes it sink more time is the "Welcome, (Name)" since on 3.1.2 didnt had that and was booting around 24s or so.

The Welcome, (Name) part existed in 3.1.2, but it was showing "Loading game list", even if the game list was fully loaded, I just changed the text so that it can change when the game list finished it's loading. And yes, it's really smoother on new 3DS, the app loads in ~12 second s and is at 60fps. The startup is also longer on old firmwares, due to the firmware version verification which is here to prevent using the sleep download functionality in old firmwares (because that will just don't work).

Oooh im sitting on 11.3 so that could also factor. Then idk what to say why is taking me longer than 3.1.2 compared to the new one. I guess i have no more questions since i think i cant do much more. Thanks for the help. On another note In the future i hope you can add something to disable the memory space tab or search bar from installed games. If doable that is. Regardless, thanks again for trying to help.

No problem, do a nand backup in case you want to return to 11.3 (as long as you're on a9lh/b9s, you are safe).
