  26. Description : The Ultimate Torment & Torture is a compilation of all
  27. classic episodes totally remastered and revamped for
  28. more gameplay fun and visual candy as well as the all
  29. new Episode 4 "Havoc" plus many new goodies and extra
  30. stuff. Fight yourself through each episode seperately
  31. or battle your way from the beginning through the whole
  32. game until you reach "The Source" for the final Showdown!
  33. Technical Info : Some of the maps, especially those with weather effects and
  34. the later ones in Episode 4 are huge (kinda KDiZD), filled
  35. with objects, sectors and lines. If you encounter framerate
  36. drops, you can deactivate the weather effects with "W" (or
  37. just define your own key in the menue). If this doesn't help,
  38. your machine is too old or too slow to handle UTNT and you
  39. can't do anything about it. Play the classics or buy a new
  40. computer / new components :P
  41. Beyond, "Fury of Fire" is independent from all the other
  42. episodes and isn't included in the full play from the
  43. beginning of Episode 1 to the end of Episode 4. Play it
  44. seperate.
  45. Info on v1.05 : The latest version of UTNT is fully operationable in
  46. Skulltag and is technically enhanced to ensure that you
  47. won't encounter lags or slowdowns due too many packets
  48. being sent and particles floating around. I changed all the
  49. visual special effects to be clientside only and without
  50. any interaction that could drop the network speed or
  51. framerate. Special thanks to Torr Samaho for making this
  52. flags reality and to Ghastly Dragon for fixing and improving
  53. the whole decorate code for monsters and special effects, you're
  54. awesome and those kind of nice guys that keep the community
  55. alive and flowing :)
  56. GZDoom Settings : Shaders MUST be DEactivated
  57. otherwise you will get visual glitches because shaders and
  58. dynamic lights don't do good together.
  59. Lightning Mode MUST be "Standard" style
  60. to make sure that contrast and sector lights look exactly
  61. the way they were intended to!
  62. Resolution Info : Make sure to play this in 4:3 resolutions instead of 16:9
  63. to avoid graphical errors. Most of the gfx's in UTNT are
  64. optimized for such aspect ratios.
