Thank you for continuing updating this project.

Although I'm sympathetic with Richard Stallman and Edward Snowden, I don't think they should be added to this project. They both mentioned that they are not an anarchist, with Snowden clearly not understanding anarchism ("I’m not an anarchist. I’m not saying, 'Burn it to the ground.'") and Stallman specifically saying he's a statist (although sympathetic with "an anarchistic approach to activities, where the people doing them are free to organize them.").

Richard Stallman: https://stallman.org/articles/why-we-need-a-state.html Edward Snowden: https://www.thenation.com/article/snowden-exile-exclusive-interview/

On Mastodon there is a small thread about Stallman: https://todon.nl/@anarchistquotes/99258886317476586.

Cause of randomness of fortune Stallman happened to be picked many times lately. I guess that's coincidence and I couldn't find a way to tell fortune to skip quotes that were already used. Anyhow, I disabled the two locally.

I know that Edward Snowden and Richard Stallman are not anarchists. However, I do not want to restrict these quotes to only anarchists -- George Carlin and Malcolm X should also be removed by this reasoning. I want to keep these individuals in the project because they had/have some good ideas that anarchists should think about, which are the kinds of quotations I selected (and excluded quotations favoring the state). I have thought of a couple of compromises I can make, however, if they would improve the project in your opinion.

  1. I can split the folder "people" into "anarchists" and "non-anarchists", and create two releases which are exclusively anarchist or not.

  2. I would be OK with reducing the number of quotations for these individuals, let's say to four each, and move them to the miscellaneous file. They will still get picked randomly, but not as often.

Let me know what you think of these options.

Yes I knew there were also non-anarchist included (what I call anarchist-friendly people), but cause these were specifically denouncing anarchism.

But I like your suggestion number 2, although there are a few doubtful cases like e.g. Howard Zinn, who was never really clear about what he was. So I would suggest only to put people that are surely no anarchists in the miscellaneous file or maybe even a file called nonanarchists. I wouldn't do two releases.
