% Suicide

Transgender people are more likely to commit suicide than almost any other group of people. This can be because of gender dysphoria itself, or abuse and discrimination that they may experience. It may come as a result of depression and loneliness, and feelings of helplessness, if for instance they lose their home, partner, job, parents, friends and/or family after coming out as trans.
